WisdomArea aggregates short quotes, excerpts, and publicly recognizable author imagery for the purposes of commentary, education, criticism, and scholarship. Such use is strictly non-commercial and is protected under the Fair Use doctrine of U.S. Copyright Law (17 U.S.C. § 107).
Filing a Takedown Request
If you are a rightsholder (such as a photographer who owns the rights to an author image displayed on our site) and you believe your copyrighted work has been infringed, please submit a structural DMCA takedown notice to us.
Your takedown notice must include:
- A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized agent.
- Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed.
- Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the exact URL(s).
- Contact information, including your name, address, telephone number, and email.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner.
- A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
