من أهم الدروس التي استخلصتها خلال السنوات الخمس الماضية أميناً عاماً، هو أن الأمم المتحدة لا يمكنها أن تؤدي وظيفتها على النحو الأمثل دون دعم مجتمع الأعمال والمجتمع المدني. إننا بحاجة إلى دعم ثلاثي الأطراف: الحكومات، ومجتمعات الأعمال، والمجتمع المدني.
